Our story

For the place we've always called home

The Laundry Nook was created with a simple purpose: to care for the community that has cared for our family for generations.

About The Laundry Nook

Our story

The Laundry Nook was founded to serve the community that raised us. As a Kanaka ʻŌiwi (Native Hawaiian) owned business, our family's roots in South Kona go back generations.

Serving our neighbors isn't just what we do, it's who we are. Every order is cared for with the same attention, aloha, and pride we'd give our own family's laundry.

Kahi Holoi Lole means "a place to wash clothes." To us, it's a reminder that laundry has always been about more than clean clothes.

It's the pile waiting on the couch, someone calling out, "Whose socks are these?!", the scramble to get school uniforms and work clothes ready for tomorrow, and the everyday moments that make a house feel like home.

We know those moments because we've lived them too. If we can take one thing off your to-do list and give you a little more time for what matters most, then we've done our job.

From our ʻohana to yours, mahalo nui for letting us care for your laundry.

What matters to us

Care

Your laundry is handled with the same attention we’d want for our own.

Community

We’re here to serve our neighbors and the place we’re proud to call home.

Aloha

Not as a tagline, but in how we treat people, how we work, and how we care for what’s entrusted to us.
